Child Welfare Appreciation Week: Alexis Corder of Camelot Community Care
Alexis Corder graduated from The Florida State University with a Masters degree in Social Work. She started her child welfare career in 2021 as an adoption case manager and was quickly promoted to Home Finder in 2022. Alexis was promoted again, to adoptions supervisor earlier this year.
If you know Alexis, you know she is passionate and enthusiastic about finding Forever Families for the children she serves. Alexis stated, “every child deserves a home. I believe all of these children are all adoptable and deserve to grow up in a home where they are valued and loved.” Alexis credits her success to the support she receives from our NWF Health Network Adoptions Manager, Kathy Donofro. “I wouldn’t be where I am today with out the guidance I receive from Kathy.”
Kathy Donofro said, “Honestly, she has taken the adoptions unit to a new level in the short amount of time she has been the supervisor. Alexis provides guidance and structure to her staff and strives to motivate and support them however she can. She works diligently (weekends and afterhours) and has created a spreadsheet of all the units cases and adoption finalizations, which she sends to leadership monthly!”
When Alexis isn’t working, she can be found surrounded by friends or family usually on the water or on the beach!
Thank you, Alexis! We appreciate the hard work and commitment you give the children in our community that need loving homes.
