National Social Work Month: Shannon Massingale
Meet Shannon Massingale!
Shannon is a social worker originally from New York but is now residing in Pace Florida (C1). She attended the University of West Florida and is currently working as the NWF Health Director of Care Coordination- Integrating behavioral health, physical health and child welfare systems.
When she’s not being awesome at work, she enjoys baking and traveling. Shannon is working on visiting all 50 states- she only has 17 more to go! Shannon is also an adoptive parent.
In honor of National Social Work Month, Shannon gives this advice to new social workers: don’t be afraid to try roles outside your comfort zone, it allows you to grow and learn the populations you are meant to work with.
Thank you, Shannon. We appreciate your hard work and dedication to the children and families in the community!
