Child Passenger Safety

This training provides an overview of best practices to keep your child riding safely in your vehicle. This training covers how to select an appropriate child restraint seat, explains the differences between rear and forward-facing, discusses considerations for where the seat can be placed in your vehicle, how to install car seats, and proper harnessing of children in the car seat. Misuse of child safety seats is demonstrated and corrected, and common questions about child passenger safety are addressed.

Water Safety for Parents and Caregivers

The Water Safety for Parents and Caregivers Online Course focuses on developing an awareness of the risks of drowning and how to minimize those risks, especially for young children. This online course teaches parents and caregivers about the concepts of the circle of drowning prevention, water competency and the chain of drowning survival. It also provides guidance for applying water safety to common environments and situations where children are most at risk for drowning.

Preventing Human Trafficking

This course aims to help foster families and case managers identify the signs of human trafficking and report any reasonable suspicions. In this one-hour training, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of a critical issue affecting some of our society’s most vulnerable populations.
