Fatherhood Initiative

Fatherhood Peer Specialists & Community Resources

Fatherhood Peer Specialists engage with the child protection, behavioral health, and criminal justice systems to enact systematic change. Our Certified Fatherhood Peer specialists meet with fathers in our county jails and continue the connection with them as they transition out of incarceration, and post release. This initiative provides  fathers with the support, encouragement, confidence, and resilience they need to enhance their own lives and the lives of their families.

They provide evidence-based education programs, resiliency, life skills, ongoing peer support, and most importantly HOPE that change is possible, and fathers can positively reengage with their children.

Our Fatherhood Initiative also offers free resources, including interactive journaling, resiliency training, parenting education, and more, to all fathers in the communities we serve.
