Foster Care

Kinship Support

Northwest Florida Health Network’s Kinship Program provides Level I foster care licensing to relative and non-relative caregivers who have children placed in their home through the dependency system. The Kinship Program becomes involved with the family during the first days of receiving a child into their home. The Program works quickly to license the family as a Level I, child specific, foster home which provides the family with much needed support. Our Program goal is to empower kinship caregivers by removing barriers and providing needed resources to ensure that the well-being and welfare needs of children in care are met. Our agency covers Circuits 1, 2 and 14 in Northwest Florida. Circuit 1 includes: Escambia, Sant Rosa, Okaloosa, and Walton Counties. Circuit 2 includes: Leon, Jefferson, Franklin, Gadsden, Liberty and Wakulla Counties. Circuit 14 includes: Bay, Calhoun, Jackson, Holmes, Gulf and Washington Counties.
