On behalf of the City of Tallahassee, Leon County Government, Leon County Schools, and the Leon County Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff Walter McNeil invites you to attend a Community Violence Intervention (CVI) Service Provider Collaboration Luncheon on Wednesday, March 22, 2023.

The purpose of the meeting is to convene local service providers to coordinate strategies for community violence prevention and intervention. This meeting will serve as a kick-off for future collaboration.

As a valuable service provider in our community, we hope that you will join us for an update on the actions and accomplishments of the newly created Council on the Status of Men and Boys and the ongoing and scheduled activities related to the Bureau of Justice Administration Community Based Violence Intervention and Prevention Initiative grant awarded to Leon County.

It is the mission of the Council on the Status of Men and Boys to unify existing agencies, organizations, and individuals to coordinate resources, funding, and services under a multi-disciplinary plan for reducing homicides and non-fatal shootings in Leon County. We are seeking your support and commitment to collaborate in the fight to reduce violence in our community.

The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 22 at the Leroy Collins Leon County Public Library Main Branch at 200 West Park Avenue. Lunch will be provided.  Please RSVP using the following link or the QR code on the attached flyer: https://bit.ly/3mnHqFP

Please help us spread the word by forwarding this invitation to other service providers that may be interested in collaborating. If you have any questions, please contact Royle King at [email protected].
