Helping Others Heal: FREE 40 hour Recovery Peer Specialist Training

This 5 day course was created for adults who self-identify as having a mental health and/or substance use disorder and are interested in pursuing professional credentials through the Florida Certification Board as Certified Recovery Peer Specialists. The course is also appropriate for family members or caregivers of another individual who has are is in recovery from a substance use and/or mental health condition. This 40 hour course addresses the four content areas (Advocacy, Mentoring, Recovery Support, and Professional Responsibility) that are required for the Florida Certification Board’s Recovery Peer Specialist Certification.

Class size is limited. Acceptance for registration is by application and interview. Priority is given to applicants currently working or volunteering with our providers. You must be off your regular duties and for the full duration of the course.
