Spotlight on The Whitaker Foster Family

Jenny and Terry Whitaker have been foster parents in Florida for almost four years.  Prior to moving to Florida, they were licensed in Georgia for two and a half years and had one child placed in their home for the duration of that time.  While the Whitaker family has served children long term in their home, they are at present helping other foster families by spoiling their little ones when other foster parents need respite.

Both Jenny and Terry work in jobs that are centered on enriching children’s lives.  Jenny works for the Department of Health in the WIC office, and Terry works for Boy Scouts of America.  While working for WIC, Jenny saw many children in care and their foster parents coming into the office requesting services and she wanted to get involved. 

Jenny and Terry have 2 sons, who are both committed Boy Scouts, and the family enjoys camping and participating in Boy Scout activities.

We are very thankful for the Whitaker family who bring love and light to the children placed in their home.
