The mother, a 21-year-old, and her 3-year-old son were reunified in February 2024. There were concerns of substance use and inadequate supervision and an additional incident in where she appeared under the influence and the child was placed in an unsafe situation.

During the life of the case, she completed services through the DISC FIT team which worked with her on the substance abuse concerns and Healthy Families to support a positive parent/child relationship. This mom is currently employed, has identified a support system that assists her in her sobriety and encourages her ability to parent effectively. She reports being happier now than before. The behavioral changes that she has made have made a positive impact in the life of she and her son.
