C1 Human Trafficking Task Force Meeting

Did you know the nonprofit advocacy organization Nation Foster Youth Institute estimates up to 60% of child sex trafficking victims are or have been in foster care?

There are local task forces and coalitions which encompass every one of Florida’s 67 counties. Circuit 1 holds four of those with a heavy presence and interest from Sheriff’s in each county. NWFHN is involved in several of the advocacy groups.

The meeting included speakers and audience members were from The Health & Hope Clinic of Pensacola, NWFHN staff, Child Protection workers, the FBI, local sexual assault response teams and the Escambia County Sheriff’s office.
