March is National Social Work Month: Bobbi Lowe
Bobbi has lived in the Pensacola area for most of her life. She graduated from the University of West Florida and chose social work because she always knew she wanted to be in a helping profession.
“Just a few weeks ago, we had a caregiver come in the Pensacola office for help with her direct deposit. I couldn’t help but notice she looked familiar. I saw her name on her paperwork and she happened to have been a child I had on my caseload 20+ years ago! She was now taking care of her sibling’s children. We caught up on her family and how they are; she shared how she is doing. I hugged her and told her how proud I was of her to see how she has grown up to be responsible to take care of her nieces and nephews. I love to bump into families I worked with to see how they are doing.”
Bobbi’s has a favorite quote for new social workers: “to the world you may be just one person, but to that one person, you may be the world” – Brandi Snyder
When Bobbie isn’t working hard at NWF Health, you will find her decorating and working on home improvement projects or shopping.
Thank you for all the great work, Bobbi. We sure appreciate you!
