Meet NWF Kinship Care Navigator: Emma Reese
The Kinship program helps with resources to families who have opened up their homes to care for children that have been removed from their homes and placed in Kinship Care, or Relative Care.
Kinship caregivers are everyday people- grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, godparents, along with other close family friends, teachers and coaches- who step up on a moment’s notice to care for a loved one’s child.
Emma’s job is to help navigate within the child welfare system throughout the case by assisting families with support and resources. Part of her job is to reach out to the community for assistance in providing children with basic supplies.
If you would like to help support these caregiver families, please consider donating items from the following list:
- Pack and Play
- Fire Extinguishers
- toddler beds or cribs
- bunk beds, single or full size beds
- clothes and shoes (all sizes)
- Smoke alarms
- window/door alarms
- magnetic cabinet locks
- carbon monoxide detectors
- small, medium and large storage bins
If you are interested in helping Emma, please contact her at (850) 786-2904 or [email protected].
