National Social Work Month: April Hart

Mar Mon, 2023, See more: Staff Spotlight

April Hart was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida. She obtained her Bachelors in Social Work from The Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. She will be completing her Masters in Social Work in May and will be graduating again from The Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.

April became a social worker because she had a passion for helping other people and she wanted to make a difference in people’s lives and have a positive impact on them. So far, April has 3 years under her belt working in the social work field.

If April could give a new social worker advice, it would be to “make sure that you have empathy and  a passion for all things you do because you are the difference in the world.”

In her spare time, April loves spending time with her daughter and family. She also enjoys traveling. “When I have just a little extra time I might sew different thing’s or plan an event for someone.”

Thank you, April. We see all the good work you do for the families you service in our community.
