Social Work Appreciation: Denise Heaton
Meet Denise. Denise is a disabled Veteran, who served ten years in the Navy. She has been a Social Worker for 20 years. She began her career as a Dependency Case Manager, she has been a Case Management supervisor, a Child Protective Investigator, and landed at NWFHN as a Kinship Specialist working with the Level 1 team to work towards licensing relative and non-relatives as foster parents.
In May of 2022 her career took her to the Foster Family Support team in the Family Finder program where she became the Foster Family Support Supervisor for Circuit 14.
When Denise isn’t working, she loves spending time with her twelve year old daughter, her mother, and her English Mastiff! Up until last fall, Denise has always coached her daughters softball team!
We appreciate all you do, Denise. Thank you for serving our Country and taking care of the children and families in our community.
