Social Work Appreciation Month: Kristen Wilson
Meet Kristen Wilson. Kristen obtained her Social Work degree from University of West Florida. She is currently a Contract Manager, managing child welfare and behavioral health contracts.
Kristen wanted to become a social worker because she enjoyed listening to people’s stories. “Everybody has a story that needs to be heard and understood. To quote Mr. Rogers, ‘If you could only sense how important you are to the lives of those you meet; how important you can be to the people you may never even dream of. There is something of yourself that you leave at every meeting with another person.”
When Kristen isn’t working, she loves playing video and board games with her husband and two daughters. Family game night is important in the Wilson house!
