Social Work Appreciation Month: Shannon Massingale, LCSW

Shannon Massingale received both her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Social Work from the University of West Florida. She is the director of Care Coordination for NWF Health Network, advocating for and monitoring the mental health, and medical needs of children in care. 

Shannon has been a social worker since age 3- but just needed the degrees to prove it! She has always been moved to help others in challenging times. The opportunity to be allowed to walk into someone’s life and be a part of their experiences is a privilege not many have and one she tries to honor every day by helping to bring positive change to others.

Shannon is married to a wonderful supportive husband, and they are adoptive parents. Shannon loves to travel and has visited 37 of the 50 states and she is working her way thru the rest! She loves to laugh and “nerd out” on behavioral health research: and she’s almost always caffeinated!
