Spotlight on the C2 Barlowe Foster Family

Lauren and Travis Barlowe are foster parents in Tallahassee, FL. They have been fostering since August, 2022 and have had the opportunity to love on 13 children. Lauren is an elementary school teacher and Travis is a firefighter- the urge to help is strong in this family! Their foster family support specialist refers to them as the “closers” because oftentimes shortly after children come into their care they are either reunified or go to live with family. There are a couple of children the family still visits with on a regular basis.  The Barlowes feel it is really important to keep that continuity and ensuring the children know that while they may not be living in their home, the Barlowes are always there for them. The family does a wonderful job of partnering with the families of the children in their home and really wrap around them to make sure they are as successful as possible, especially after reunification. We love the Barlowe family!
