Carissa Hatcher retired from her professional career with a wealth of experience in child care. Recently married, her husband Doug has been working diligently in his training to become a licensed foster parent as well. She has dedicated her life to nurturing children from diverse backgrounds.Carissa’s profound “why” stems from her belief that she possesses immense love to share, especially with children in need of care and compassion. 

Despite the emotional challenges and occasional sleepless nights, she finds joy in the roller coaster of laughter, tears, and love that comes with caring for children. Her commitment to fostering is driven by the deep satisfaction of being involved in the restoration and reunification of children’s lives, a journey that is both demanding and immensely fulfilling.

Carissa’s exceptional ability to establish strong partnerships with biological parents and her dedication to meeting the unique needs of each child highlight her remarkable skills as a caregiver. Her recent endeavor of completing 30 hours of therapeutic training to support a child returning to her care underscores her unwavering commitment to providing the best possible support for children with challenging behaviors. Doug is excited to start this new journey aside her. Their story is a testament to the transformative power of love, dedication, and unwavering support in the lives of children in need.
