Two of NWF’s Behavioral Health ME Team Attend SOAR Training in Rhode Island

Lyn Massilino and Sophia Whaley attended the SOAR (SSI/SSCI Outreach Access and Recovery) Training last week in Providence, Rhode Island.

SOAR is a national program designed to increase access to the disability income benefit programs administered by the Social Security Administration (SSA) for eligible adults and children who are experiencing or are at risk of homelessness and have a serious mental illness, medical impairment, and/or a co-occurring substance use disorder.

Sophia and Lyn were joined by others from all over the US. California, Delaware, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Mexico, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.
